Film Noir is one of Hollywood’s only organic artistic movements. Beginning in the early 1940s, numerous screenplays inspired by hardboiled American crime fiction were brought to the screen.
Film Noir is a stereotypical detective story which can be moulded in to may different forms. Your typical Film Noir is a detective story in which he unravels the plot, the antogomnist in most cases is the femme fatal in most. It is the runnings of storytelling and has forever been criticised if its just an over developed story telling technique.
